Laurie Bounds is the co-founder and principal of Wolverine One-Design Management, a one-design association and yacht race management firm based in Commerce Township, Michigan. She has been involved in sailing for over 26 years. She has crewed on a Hobie Cat with her husband, Matt Bounds, and has also been involved in regatta event planning and coordination at the district and fleet level.
Laurie’s experience as a social worker and her volunteer work on several boards for nonprofits in the Detroit area allows her to add a unique perspective for clients of Wolverine One Design Management. She has been involved in event planning and fundraising, including co-chairing Kingswood Giftorama which is a major fundraiser for Cranbrook Schools.
Laurie earned a Master of Social Work at Wayne State University and she also received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
